Martine Hansen visits a repair café in the municipality of Esch-sur-Sûre

In collaboration with Upper Sûre Nature Park, CELL asbl and Repair Café asbl, the municipality of Esch-sur-Sûre organized its very first Repair Café. The Minister for Consumer Protection, Martine Hansen, visited the event to show her support for this initiative, which not only helps reduce waste but also promotes more responsible consumption.

The wide range of repair services offered attracted a diverse audience eager to extend the lifespan of their belongings rather than replacing them. Thanks to the varied expertise of the volunteer experts present, many items – household appliances, clothing, small furniture, and even bicycles – were given a second life.
