On Wednesday, 12 July 2023, the Minister for Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region, Max Hahn, welcomed the Ambassador of France, H.E. Claire Lignières-Counathe, for a courtesy visit to the Ministry.
They emphasised the quality of bilateral relations, which are essential for the French community of nearly 60,000 nationals living in Luxembourg and the 122,000 cross-border commuters from France. They discussed the work carried out by the Franco-Luxembourg Intergovernmental Commission to strengthen cross-border cooperation (CIG), particularly in the areas of teleworking and mobility. Minister Hahn also presented the draft law on intercultural living together, which is aimed at people living and working in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
