Call to companies: economic mission focused on the space sector in the United Arab Emirates from 24 to 30 October 2021
In order to promote the various sectors of the Luxembourg economy to a large Emirati and international public during the World Expo in Dubai, the Chamber of Commerce is organising several sectoral economic missions in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy. Postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai will finally take place from October 1er to March 31, 2022.

COVID-19 cases - Weekly review: 9 - 15 August
For the week of 9 to 15 August, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 has decreased, for the 6th week in a row, from 404 to 295 cases (-27%), as well as the number of their identified close contacts, which dropped to 831, compared to 1,379 cases the week before (-40%).

Vaccination without appointment at the Victor Hugo Hall in Limpertsberg from 16 August 2021
Following the great success of the spontaneous vaccination events in the framework of the "Impf-Bus on tour", carried out by the mobile teams of the Health Directorate, it will also be possible to get vaccinated without prior appointment at the Hall Victor Hugo vaccination centre in Limpertsberg, from 16 August.

For the week of 2 to 8 August, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 has decreased, for the 5th week in a row, from 439 to 404 (-8%), while the number of their identified close contacts increased from 1,065 to 1,379 (+23%) the previous week.

Launch of COVID-19 vaccination in private medical offices
During the week of 2 August, the first vaccinations will be offered in the offices of general practitioners and paediatricians.

Continuation of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for homeless people
After a first vaccination campaign for the homeless on 1 and 2 June 2021 at the "Wanteraktioun" premises, said campaign by the mobile teams of the Directorate of Health was been extended in order to reach a maximum number of people in very precarious situations who, for health reasons, geographical distance or other reasons, were unable to visit the "Wanteraktioun" premises.

Wednesday 7 July, CNES, the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) and Air Liquide signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) confirming their commitment to work together on developing research and technology (R&T) activities.
