La 7e édition du Diversity Day s’est déroulée au Grand-Duché ce 20 mai 2021. Cette journée s’inscrit dans le cadre du mois européen de la Diversité de la Commission européenne. Les organisations ont été invitées à lancer des initiatives pour illustrer leur engagement sur les thèmes de la diversité au travers d’actions marquantes et ludiques.

COVID-19 cases - Weekly review: 10 - 16 May
During the week from 10 to 16 May and for the 3rd week in a row, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 continued to decrease from 936 to 759 (-19.0%), while the number of their identified close contacts also decreased from 2,423 cases the previous week to 1,757 (-27.5%).

Certified rapid antigen tests can be performed in the first pharmacies starting 12 May
From 12 May, rapid antigen tests (RATs) by nose swab, as well as self-tests, can be performed and certified in the first pharmacies. All participating pharmacies will offer this service from Monday 17 May. The test result can be obtained in less than 30 minutes.

5.7 million rapid antigen tests to be distributed to companies
From 17 May 2021, 5.7 million tests will be distributed. To this end, 4 distribution centres have been set up. The distribution will take place in Soleuvre near the Festikuss cultural centre, in Bertrange near the ARCA cultural centre (200m from the Centre Atert), in the ZANO industrial zone at Fridhaff and in Grevenmacher near the Op Flohr stadium.

Luxembourg participated in the international cyber defence exercise "Locked Shields 2021"
Luxembourg took part in the largest and most complex international live-fire cyber defence exercise for the first time at the end of April 2021. Locked Shields is an annual exercise organised by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE).
