Free shingles vaccine for people aged 65 and over and immunocompromised people
Following the recommendations of the High Council for Infectious Diseases (Conseil supérieur des maladies infectieuses - CSMI), the vaccine "Shingrix", which aims to reduce the incidence of shingles, will be made available free of charge by the Health Directorate from April 2023.

Government position following the annulment of the withdrawal of the authorisations for placing on the market for plant protection products containing the active substance glyphosate
On 30 March 2023, the Administrative Court confirmed the judgment of the Administrative Tribunal of 15 July 2022 annulling the decisions to withdraw the authorisations for placing on the market of eight plant protection products containing the active substance glyphosate.

Withdrawal of marketing authorisations for plant protection products containing the active substance glyphosate: State's appeal rejected by the Administrative Court
On 30 March 2023 the Administrative Court confirmed the judgment of the Administrative Tribunal annulling the decisions to withdraw the marketing authorisations for 8 plant protection products containing the active substance glyphosate. As a result of this decision, the authorisations for the plant protection products in question will be reinstated as of the date of the judgment.

From 32,197 to 41,336 registrations: large increase in registration numbers in March
In May 2022, the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region and its partners launched the awareness campaign "I can vote". The aim is to inform non-Luxembourg residents of their right to vote in the municipal elections on 11 June 2023 and to make them aware of the need to register on the electoral rolls by 17 April 2023 at 5pm.

Presentation of an agreement to restore the Alzette

Franz Fayot and Yuriko Backes launch phase two of the cooperation agreement with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion
On 27 March 2023, Franz Fayot, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, and Yuriko Backes, Minister of Finance, signed with Alfred Hannig, Executive Director of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, the extension of the cooperation agreement with the European Representative Office of AFI during an official ceremony at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology.
