The Ministry of Economy signs agreement to support teaching and research in HPC/HPDA/AI
The Ministry of the Economy and the University of Luxembourg have signed an agreement that provides a framework for higher education and research activities focused on High-Performance Computing, including the creation by the University of a pilot European Master's degree in High-Performance Computing, Big Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence.

Luxembourg is the first European country to introduce free music lessons for all children and young people
On 26 April 2022, the Luxembourg Parliament passed a law which reforms music education. Starting from the school year 2022/2023, a majority of music lessons, which include performing arts and dance lessons, will be offered free of charge at public music schools.

Adjustment of the health measures of the National Education System
The Government Council has decided to adjust the health measures in force in order to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among the population. The national education health system has been adapted accordingly.

6th Intergovernmental Commission to strengthen cross-border cooperation
On 19 October 2021, the 6th meeting of the Franco-Luxembourg Intergovernmental Commission to strengthen cross-border cooperation (IGC) took place in Esch-Belval. The delegation of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was led by Ms Corinne Cahen, Minister for the Greater Region, and that of the French Republic by Mr Clément Beaune, Secretary of State for European Affairs.

Vaccination and testing, the path back to normality
On 2 September 2021, the Minister for Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, and the Minister of Health, Paulette Lenert, presented the COVID-19 health scheme (Stufeplang) which will apply from the start of the 2021-2022 school year. As in the previous year, the objective of the health system remains “Maximal Chancë fir d'Bildung, minimal Chancë fir de Virus”.
