  1. On 4 March 2024, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, met the members of the Meeting of Secretaries-General and Heads of Administration of the Institutions and Bodies of the European Union based in Luxembourg (also known as "CALux").

Approximately 220,000 people in Europe are diagnosed with colorectal cancer every year, and the number is increasing. In Luxembourg, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths, but if detected early, it can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases. Screening therefore plays an essential role.
