Following the creation of a new permanent restricted geographical zone from 14th September, drone operations are prohibited in the “EL-UAS-S18” geographical zone, unless prior authorization obtained from the DAC.

On the occasion of different events, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works prohibits all drone movements on the following dates and in the following airspaces:
- During the Summit of the Heads of State of the German-speaking countries on 17 September 2023 from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. in the geographical area 'EL-UAS-TEVT-2024-05' accessible via this link.
- During the Tour de Luxembourg from 18 to 22 September 2024 in the zones accessible via the following link (to be published soon)
- During the official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis on 26 September 2024 from 09:00 to 18:30 in the geographical area ‘EL-UAS-TEVT-2024-06’ accessible via this link.
The updated geographical areas will also be:
- available for consultation on the website https://g-o.lu/uas.
- downloadable at https://drones.geoportail.lu/zones. These zones can then be loaded onto drones marked C1, C2 and C3 as provided for in the regulations.
