Starting 13 September 2026, several new features will be introduced to the UAS geographical zones in order to make their management more dynamic and better suited to operational needs.

1.     8 new UAS geographical zones

• Will be established and may be activated upon request by the Grand Ducal Police;
• Will appear on the Geoportal map only when they are about to be activated;
• Will allow the implementation of no-fly restrictions, unless prior authorization has been granted by the Grand Ducal Police.

These zones are:

1. EL-UAS-S20 « Bourglinster »
2. EL-UAS-S21 « Senningen »
3. EL-UAS-S22 « European Convention Center »
4. EL-UAS-S23 « Glacis »
5. EL-UAS-S24 « Ville Haute »
6. EL-UAS-S25 « Gare Centrale »
7. EL-UAS-S26 « Esch Belval »
8. EL-UAS-S27 « Schengen »

2.      In parallel, the following UAS geographical zones are evolving

• The EL-UAS-S12 « Stade Josy Barthel » zone and the EL-UAS-S06 zone will be removed
• The EL-UAS-S13 « Stade de Luxembourg » zone and the EL-UAS-S05 zone will be adapted to align with the activation process of the 8 new UAS geographical zones.
