COVID-19: Ministry of Health launches appeal to help facilitate contact tracing

The Ministry of Health strongly urges people who test positive for COVID-19 to self-isolate as soon as they receive their results from the laboratory, or even to self-quarantine, if they are informed that they were in high-risk contact with a person who tested positive.

The Contact Tracing-team will contact them as soon as possible.

In order to be able to continue managing contact tracing, it is essential not to call the hotline right away, but to wait for the Contact Tracing-team to get in touch. The participation in contact tracing will help to better control the pandemic.

To facilitate the contact tracing, two declaration forms are also online as of today, Saturday 24 October, on the website www.covid19.lu.

  • If you have been tested positive for Covid-19: You must immediately go into isolation, without waiting for a call from the Contact Tracing team. The Contact Tracing-team has been informed of your result. While waiting for their call, you can help them trace and identify people who have had high-risk contact with you. In order to do so, you need to download the declaration form via the website and send to the E-mail address indicated on it.
  • If you've been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19: You must self-quarantine. To receive the required documents, you must complete the form and return it to the indicated email address. You must indicate the first and last name of the positive person, or the reference number of the file, if the COVID-19 positive person provided it to you.
