Early opening of the Wanteraktioun

Due to the weather forecast of temperatures around 0 degrees, the Ministry of Family, Integration and the Greater Region and its partner Dräieck vzw have decided to launch the Winter Action (Wanteraktioun - WAK) early.

The WAK is a humanitarian action whose aim is to prevent homeless people from falling victim to hypothermia during periods of extreme cold. It takes place in the multi-functional emergency structure in Findel and starts in principle on 1 December and ends on 31 March.

The night shelter will be open from 7.15pm on Tuesday 23 November.

The day hostel will be open to beneficiaries from noon on 24 November. The organisation of the accommodation and the supervision of the beneficiaries are ensured by the Dräieck asbl, which has been managing the WAK since 1 January 2021. This association is made up of the three organisations Caritas Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Red Cross and Inter-Actions.

The field coordination will be open on 23 November for the registration of beneficiaries from 11:30 to 16:00.
