The day started with a visit to the "Diversity Fair" stands of the Lycée Michel Lucius, which covered a.o. the areas of cultural, gender and special needs diversity. Although the school won the ASTI "School without Racism" award in 1997, it is not currently a signatory to the Charter. However, it has students of 80 different nationalities who, from primary school onwards, advocate diversity, respect for others and inclusion of all.

The next station was SES, which has been a signatory of the Diversity Charter since 2020 and won the Diversity Award in 2021 in the category 'Communication and Organisational Values' with its project 'Equality & Inclusion working groups'. An exchange on SES diversity projects was followed by a tour of the premises. The visit ended with a group photo near the antenna.

BCEE, which has also been a signatory of the Diversity Charter since 2020, invited to the opening of a photo exhibition created with the Trisomie 21 Lëtzebuerg association.

The afternoon ended with a visit to Arcelor Mittal, a signatory of the Diversity Charter since 2020. There, the staff members organised a first fair that testifies to the cultural diversity within Arcelor Mittal, which employs employees of 64 different nationalities. Culinary specialities, small quizzes and explanations about the traditions of the different countries were waiting for the visitors on several stands.

At 6 p.m. the official signing ceremony of the Diversity Charter for new members took place. The 251 current signatories were joined by no less than 43 new organisations. This was also the occasion to present the results of the Diversity Charter's Autonomous Working Groups.

Diversity Day and Diversity Charter

The Diversity Day was organised, in collaboration with IMS Luxembourg, for the ninth consecutive year. Its objective is to:

- Valuing diversity strategies implemented in organisations

- To enable creative thinking around the notion of diversity

- Raise awareness of diversity among the general public and organisations

- Celebrate diversity in all its facets

The Diversity Charter was created in 2012. It is a national commitment proposed for signature to any organisation in Luxembourg that wishes to commit to the promotion and management of diversity through concrete actions that go beyond legal obligations.

The Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg is supported by six privileged partners from the private sector: Deutsche Bank, PwC, Linklaters, RBC Investor & Treasury Services, Sodexo and HSBC Luxembourg. The Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region is the seventh privileged partner. The privileged partners contribute to the definition of the strategy and priorities of the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg and contribute financially to the project.

This public-private partnership is a unique governance model at European level.
