"Promoting cultural diversity and (re-)discovering Luxembourg": Launch of the 2025 Call for projects
As part of the implementation of the law on intercultural living together, the Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees is launching its 2025 Call for Projects under the title: "Promoting cultural diversity and (re-)discovering Luxembourg”, structured around two main areas:
Workstream 1: Promoting the Council of Europe's certified cultural routes or other similar initiatives
This call supports projects that promote Council of Europe-certified cultural itineraries or similar initiatives, with the aim of conveying the fundamental values of intercultural living together such as mutual respect, tolerance, solidarity, social cohesion, and the fight against racism and all forms of discrimination.
The following types of projects are particularly encouraged:
- Initiatives that highlight the Council of Europe's certified cultural routes as tools for discovery and intercultural and/or intergenerational exchange,
- Projects raising awareness of European and Luxembourgish cultural heritage through interactive and immersive formats
- Local or regional initiatives that showcase heritage sites, traditions, collective memory and historical narratives linked to these routes,
- Development of digital tools, exhibitions or playful activities facilitating access to these routes for socially, culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
Workstream 2 : Passing on and enriching Luxembourg traditions
To strengthen intercultural living together at the local level and promote dialogue between different cultural and linguistic communities, this workstream supports projects aimed at:
- Re-)discovering Luxembourg through its rich history, culture and diversity, as well as through exchange around local or regional traditions in complement to the content covered in the "Discover the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg” module,
- Promoting intergenerational dialogue to preserve, pass on and develop local or regional knowledge, customs and traditions.
The call provides funding for projects starting from 10.000€ per project.
Full details and application forms are available on theMinistry's website.
The deadline for submitting applications is set for 18 July 2025.
