Visit of a delegation from Singapore to the HCPN

On 24 May 2024, a large Singaporean delegation led by the Permanent Secretary (Sustainability and Environment), Stanley Loh, visited the Office of the High Commission for National Protection in Senningen.

Welcomed by the High Commissioner for National Protection, Guy Bley, and the Director of Political Affairs (MAE), Véronique Dockendorf, the delegation visited the premises of the National Crisis Centre before a very interesting exchange about radiation protection, presented by the Head of the Radiation Protection Division of the Health Directorate, Patrick Majerus, as well as on crisis management in Luxembourg. Other topics covered included crisis communication, critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity.

During the visit, the Director General of the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Service (CGDIS), Paul Schroeder, the Government Commissioner for Energy, Simeon Hagspiel, and the Deputy Director of the Luxembourg Regulation Institute, Claude Rischette, were also able to exchange experiences with their Singaporean counterparts.

The Luxembourg delegation was made up of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAE), the Radiation Protection Division of the Directorate of Health (M3S), the Government Commissioner for Energy (MECO), the Luxembourg Institute for Regulation (ILR), the CGDIS and the HCPN.
