On 18 July 2023, the Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, officially opened the second regional "Eltereforum" in Bettembourg. The official opening of the first Parents' Forum took place on 8 February 2023 in Niederanven.
The regional "Eltereforum" in Bettembourg, 13 rue du Nord, is mainly aimed at parents from the municipalities of Bettembourg, Hesperingen, Roeser, Weiler-la-Tour and Frisange.
Supporting parents in their parenthood
The aim is to support parents from the moment they become parents and through all stages of their child's life until they become adults.
Most parenting forums offer free support tailored to parents' needs by providing quality information and opportunities to meet other parents and professionals.
These centres offer courses, events, meetings and parent-child activities.
The "Eltereforen" are general in nature and do not provide specialised care. If necessary, parents are referred to the appropriate specialist services.
There are currently parent forums in Niederanven, Bettembourg and Marnach. From the school year 2023, other parent forums will be opened in Bertrange, Esch-Belval, Ettelbruck, Hesperange and Lorentzweiler. The Wiltz site will open at the beginning of 2024.
