Press release in relation to the extension of the health measures for all travel from the United Kingdom to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
In view of the circulation of mutated strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the transmissibility of which seems to be increased, and in particular the spread of the so-called "delta" variant (B.1.617.2), the additional sanitary measures applicable to all travel from the United Kingdom to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg have been extended until 15 July 2021 inclusive.

COVID-19 cases - Weekly review: 21 - 27 June
During the week from 21 to 27 June, the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 continued to increase slightly from 90 to 107 (+19%), while the number of their identified close contacts decreased from 396 cases the previous week to 353 (-11.1%).

Invitations for COVID-19 vaccination launched for adolescents aged 12-17 years, with priority given to the most vulnerable
The first invitations for vaccination against the coronavirus will be sent out this week to adolescents aged between 12 and 17, starting with the oldest.

"Fly It Safe" - Safety information on the public use of drones (UAS) in Luxembourg
In order to ensure the safety of people on the ground and other airspace users, the new European regulation on drones (UAS) provides a series of safety measures to be observed by every UAS pilot. Communication by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs concerning temporary immigration measures
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs wishes to inform that the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has acted on the Council Recommendation of 18 June 2020 amending Recommendation (EU) 2020/912 on the temporary restriction on non-essential travel into the EU and the possible lifting of such restriction.

Vaccination with a combination of two different COVID-19 vaccines
A number of EU Member States apply a vaccination strategy involving the administration of a second dose of a different COVID-19 vaccine from that used for the first dose. For example, some EU citizens may receive a first dose of Vaxzevria, and a second dose of Comirnaty. This process is called heterologous vaccination (sometimes called "mix and match").

New process to schedule an appointment for Large Scale Testing
From Sunday 20 June, anyone older than 6 years of age with a national identification number ("matricule") will be able to make an appointment directly via covidtesting.lu for a PCR test as part of the Large Scale Testing.
