Les Letters of agreement avec les différents utilisateurs de notre espace aérien sont revus régulièrement. L'accord avec le Cercle Luxembourgeois de vol à voile (CLVV) a été modifié pour la saison 2018 et fût signé le vendredi 30.3.2018 par M. Claudio Clori (CEO f.f.), M. Constant Rausch (chef ATC/APP) et le président du CLVV, M. Tom Scholtes.

Marc Serres, Head of Space Affairs at the Ministry of the Economy, is the first Vice-Chairman of the ESA Council from Luxembourg
Head of Space Affairs at the Ministry of the Economy, Marc Serres, has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the ESA Council for the remaining mandate of the current chairship until 30 June 2019. As the first Vice-Chairman of the ESA Council from Luxembourg, he replaces Otylia Trzaskalska-Stroińska, Deputy Director, Innovation Department at the Ministry of the Development of the Republic of Poland.

ADEM launches English version of the Luxembourg employment portal
Taking into account the international orientation of the Luxembourg labour market with an exceptional level of foreign and multilingual workforce, the Luxembourg Employment Agency (ADEM) has launched today the English version of its internet platform Portail de l’emploi (www.adem.lu) which already is available in French and German.

The 14th of March 2018, Prime minister Xavier Bettel had a meeting with his British counterpart, Theresa May, at 10 Downing Street. The two prime ministers discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as European and international politics.

Working visit of Xavier Bettel to Dublin
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel traveled for a working visit to Dublin, Ireland, on March 5, 2018. Today, 5th of March 2018, the Prime Minister had a meeting with the Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar. The counterparts discussed about the bilateral relations between the two countries, but also about the future of the European Union and particularly Brexit.

Activity report of the General Police Inspectorate for 2017
The draft bills n° 7044 concerning the General Police Inspectorate and n° 7040 regarding the disciplinary statute of Police members of the grand-ducal Police are definitely essential texts in the area of institutionalized control mechanisms of the Police. These texts intend to magnify the scope of the law of 31 May 1999 about the Police and the General Police Inspectorate.

Status of the draft law n° 7044 on the IGP reform
On August 22, 2016 the draft bills n° 7044 on the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) reform, n° 7045 on the Police reform and n° 7040 on the disciplinary status of the Police members were introduced to Parliament.

The National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to establish a Research Laboratory in Luxembourg
The Ministry of the Economy and the China National Space Administration (CNSA) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that provides a framework for the development and implementation of scientific, technical, economic and political cooperation between Luxembourg and China in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
