Luxembourg invests in NorthStar Earth & Space that establishes its European Headquarters in the Grand Duchy to support Sustainable Space Activities
The Luxembourg Future Fund (LFF) will be investing in NorthStar Earth & Space. The investment is building on the announcement made in December 2019 of a partnership between Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy and the Canadian-based company.

Free antigen tests for employees with a first dose of vaccine
Employees who have their first vaccine dose can be tested free of charge from 14 January 2022, while waiting for their second dose. As of Thursday, 16 December 2021, they are provided a set of 20 codes when they receive their first dose of vaccine.

Fit 4 Start Acceleration Programme: the 20 startups selected for the 12th edition unveiled
The 20 startups selected for Fit 4 Start #12, Luxembourg's flagship accelerator programme, have been unveiled today. The jury members of this new edition had to choose from a total of 214 applications coming from 42 countries.

Law of 8 December 2021: Transposition of Directives (EU) 2019/770 and (EU) 2019/771: Creation of a legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services from 1 January 2022
On January 1, 2022, the law of December 8, 2021 will enter into force, transposing directives (EU) 2019/770 and (EU) 2019/771. It modernizes the legal guarantee of conformity for the sale of goods and introduces a new regime in terms of the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.

COVID-19 vaccination: interval before booster reduced to 5 months
In view of the current epidemic wave, the threat of the omicron variant and the increasing incidence of hospitalisations among vaccinated persons, and following the recommendations of the Conseil supérieur des maladies infectieuses (CSMI) issued on 14 December, the Government Council of 15 December decided to reduce the interval between the last injection of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccination and the "booster" dose from 6 to 5 months.

Extension of the sanitary measures applicable to air travel to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Health inform that the current sanitary measures to be observed by people entering Luxembourg by air travel are extended until 28 February 2022 inclusive.

COVID-19 vaccination of vulnerable children from 14 December
As decided by the Government Council on 10 December and following the advice of the High Council for Infectious Diseases (Conseil supérieur des maladies infectieuses – CSMI) on 29 November, vulnerable children aged between 5 and 11 years and those in regular contact with vulnerable people will be able to get vaccinated on a voluntary basis.

Award ceremony for the National Literary Competition 2021
On 8 December 2021, the awards ceremony for the National Literary Competition 2021 took place at the National Literature Centre in the presence of the winners. Josée Hansen from the literature and publishing unit of the Ministry of Culture represented Sam Tanson, minister of Culture, who was unable to attend.
