On 1 January 2023, pensions will increase by 2.2%.
In accordance with the provisions of the Social Security Code relating to pension insurance, the government examines each year, on the basis of an analysis carried out by the General Inspectorate of Social Security (IGSS), whether it is necessary to revalue current pensions.
According to the IGSS calculations, the revaluation factor for the year 2023 is 1.553, which translates into a pension increase of 2.2%. This revaluation is in addition to the index brackets that also apply to pensions.
