In her speech at the signing ceremony, Yuriko Backes emphasised that science and research are gender-neutral and open to all. She went on to say that "Women's place is in research, in science, in STEM - everywhere".

Between 11 February, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and 8 March, International Women's Day, six videos will be shown as part of the "Women and Girls in Science 2024" campaign, featuring women scientists working in various science and research-related sectors in Luxembourg. The videos aim to encourage young women in particular not to refrain from opting for a career in science, and to encourage the general public to actively oppose harmful stereotypes and outdated gender norms.

The partners of Research Luxembourg include the University of Luxembourg, the FNR, the LIST, the LIH and the LISER.

The videos can be viewed on the social networks of MEGA, the University and Research Luxembourg, as well as on their platform.
