Réaction de Jean Asselborn suite à l'annonce du départ de l'ambassadeur des États-Unis au Luxembourg, Cynthia Stroum

J’aimerais remercier l’Ambassadeur Stroum pour l’excellente coopération personnelle que nous avons su établir au cours de l’année écoulée. Son ouverture d’esprit et sa disponibilité constante étaient très appréciées, en particulier sur des sujets d’une nature plus complexe et difficile.

Elle s’est investie au renforcement de l’amitié et de la coopération entre les États-Unis d’Amérique et le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, et elle y a contribué de manière significative par son travail remarquable.

J’espère que Mme Stroum quittera le Luxembourg avec les bons souvenirs et les amitiés qu’elle a su nouer durant son séjour à Luxembourg.

Je lui souhaite beaucoup de succès dans ses projets futurs."

Statement by Jean Asselborn following the announcement of Ambassador Stroum’s resignation

"I am very sorry to hear that Ambassador Cynthia Stroum will be leaving Luxembourg shortly.

I would like to thank Ambassador Stroum for the excellent personal cooperation we were able to enjoy over the last year. She has always been very open-minded and easy to talk to and at all times showed an open ear, notably when we had to discuss complex and difficult issues.

She dedicated herself to deepen the friendship and cooperation between the United States of America and the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, and has done an excellent job in numerous substantial ways.

I sincerely hope that Mrs. Stroum will be able to leave Luxembourg with plenty of good memories and will not forget the many friendships and links she managed to forge during her stay in Luxembourg.

I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours.
